About this course
Our moral injury advanced course is a powerful in depth examination of moral injury and moral trauma. Initially designed by Nikki Jamieson in 2018 to help enhance awareness and understanding of moral injury and moral trauma. It has been an ever-evolving course which enables the increased understanding of moral injury and moral trauma, and its subsequent impacts helping those who have experienced or continue to experience the impacts. This course also teaches about approaches and supports that can assist with day to day practice.
The course covers many aspects of moral injury and moral trauma including:
Physical, mental, and emotional symptoms, Identifying needs, preparing a session with a client with moral injury and supportive techniques and is particularly suited to those with clinical and health interests.

Doctor, author and teacher – Dr Jamieson has been working in the field of moral injury for several years and was the first ever author to undertaking groundbreaking Australian research into moral trauma with those experiencing it. Dr Jamieson is an AASW registered Social Worker and has successfully educated thousands on the subject as well as having her own lived experience. It is from these experiences that she has created this course and several publications within the moral injury field.

Who the course is for:
